As Data Team Lead, you are responsible for building the Data team, going from master data management, over big data, data lakes and IoT to data science. You are still (part-time) hands-on on data projects in the role of a data architect, responsible for designing and establishing future proof data platforms. You are a central point of contact for the team, both technically and on the level of people coaching and you communicate frequently with the Senior Unit Manager Digital Connected Company & Innovation regarding the progress of the team projects and the possible new opportunities within the team

What we expect you to do:

  • Design and build data platform architectures.
  • Thought leadership around data platforms and the different public cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google) that support these data platforms.
  • Mentor and coach a team of technical consultants in your specific knowledge domain and support the further development of our data team and the services they provide to our customers.
  • Support sales proactively and convince customers to invest in data solutions.
  • Lead data consultants in executing various practice initiatives.
  • Assist project managers in planning and driving low level project tasks.
  • You actively participate in pre-sales proposals in which data, data engineering and data science  is positioned or where related tools support the project. You work out (preferably together with the team) an approach, estimates and budgeting.

Your profile

  • You have a thorough experience in managing teams and coaching people.
  • You can handle stress and a multi-focus job.
  • You have excellent communication skills and report smoothly (both oral and written)
  • You have a commercial attitude and are able to convince customers to work with us.
  • You have a hands-on background in different data domains (MDM, Data Engineering, Data Science, etc.)
  • You know about data architecture, master data management, data integration, big data, date lakes and data science.
  • You are used to giving presentations to clients at a management level, but you have sufficient insight into the technical matters to be able to talk along on that level as well.

Our offer

  • The opportunity to have a meaningful job.
  • The opportunity to grow as a professional (Yes there will be training).
  • A good work-life balance: offering flexible hours, satellite offices, home working and 32 days of annual leave, because life isn’t all about working.
  • We provide you with a company car and a fuel card.
  • Group insurance and hospitalization insurance, because we care about you.
  • And of course, we also offer a gross salary. One, which is optimized from a net perspective for our employees!

Our hashtag to tell existing and new employees what we stand for as an employer. But also the hashtag that conveys our pride. We have plenty of strengths and daily successes to celebrate.

Luckily, enjoying one’s company is also possible online

To us, technology is a means, never an end in itself. More than ever and especially in the current context, technology helps us to communicate and stay connected to one another. Unfortunately, that isn't so easy for everyone; certainly not for those seniors currently quarantined in residential care homes. Their lack inspired a wonderful initiative.

Discover How Efficient (Or Not) Your Document Processing Is

All companies, and we do mean that literally, process mountains of documents every day. Bills arrive in the mail, job applicants email their resumes along with their applications, quotes get signed and scanned... You probably know what we're talking about. Large numbers of internal documents in multiple formats can also be great sources of challenge and frustration. Be careful, this list of ‘real life’ examples could inspire some nervous shuffling behind your desk.

The insurance industry in need of platform co-operatism?

Over the past decades, digital technology and innovation have been disrupting businesses across the world, bringing change to even the most staid industries. Digital revolution has already changed the face of the banking industry, and now insurance technology companies, insurtechs, are challenging the traditional boundaries and long-held monopoly of insurance companies.
