Customer Support Engineer (Field Services)


Within the ITO division we are looking for a Customer Support Engineer (CSE) for hardware interventions and installations at various clients.

As CSE we would like to give you the responsibility for carrying out the assignments that our client entrusts to you.

As CSE you are responsible for providing support to customers regarding their IT infrastructure in various technical areas. The CSE can be employed in the installation, intervention, internal repair, helpdesk or service delivery team. This can involve both internal and external employment. In a project for a customer you are responsible for the inclusion of one or more tasks. In addition, depending on the size or complexity of a project, you can also be involved in a coordinating function.

For this function your main task will initially be to support and install hardware infrastructure.

Although Belgium is your base, short-term installation assignments abroad are not excluded.

Server interventions and installations do not always allow to work only within office hours. You can also be asked to participate in moving assignments of datacenters and client server rooms, which usually involves evening and / or weekend work.

Finally, you will sometimes be of permanence

Your experience

  • Coordinate and troubleshoot incoming intervention requests
  • Follow up the agreed SLA and report any changes
  • Respect daily reporting to planning and planning.
  • Report to Project Manager.
  • Inform customers about the performance, progress and / or problems that have been delivered.
  • You are responsible for the hardware repairs on-site at our customers or internally at Realdolmen
  • You also take care of registration, follow-up and administration. By this we mean recording calls, making diagnoses, making schedules, administrative handling of calls and collecting the information about this
  • You participate in rollout projects.
  • You are a backup for colleagues in various projects.
  • Your job package also includes a piece of complaints handling.
  • You participate in all activities within Field Services Operations
  • You have frequent contact with customers



Your profile


  • You can already present considerable experience in a similar role.
  • You have experience and are certified as Printing Support Engineer
  • You have experience and are certified as Client Hardware Support Engineer
  • You have experience and are certified as Backend Hardware Support Engineer
  • You have knowledge and experience of hardware support from the most common A brands (HP, Lenovo, Fujitsu, Dell, Xerox, Apple, ..)
  • You preferably have a number of technical certificates on these A-brands
  • Experience in support and knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Office packages, networking is a must.
  • Education: IT background (bachelor computer science system and network management, course pc technician / network management, …)
  • Prepare to work at various locations (both at home and abroad)
  • Prepare to certify in various IT domains in the short term
  • Strongly flexible towards working hours (evening, weekend and waiting)
  • Communicative skills, customer-friendly and social
  • Hands on mentality
  • You are stress-resistant and highly organizational.
  • You are technically laid out
  • You can work independently and autonomously.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English
  • Driving License B
  • Administrative skills
  • In addition to your sense of responsibility, you also work conscientiously, accurately and critically.
  • Daily follow-up TRM
  • Correct use of tools
  • Preferably already experience on a telephone IT technical helpdesk
  • Ideally you have already worked with Axapta (AX) and Omnitracker (OT)
